PAYMENT POLICY

I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not participate in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other insurance plans for now. You are responsible for the full cost of the session, and should contact your insurance to determine if you have out-of-network mental health benefits. Most patients submit for reimbursement through their insurance. I can provide you with a monthly invoice with all the necessary information to submit to your insurance for out-of-network services on request. Then, your insurance will be able to reimburse you directly. The default payment method at the time of visit is the credit, debit or HSA card information you submit at the time of the initial visit. At this time, I am unable to accept payments by cash or check for tele-psychiatry visits. My fees are comparable to other psychiatrists with similar credentials in the greater Milwaukee area. Please schedule a free 5-10 minute introductory call to discuss the fee schedule.

Telepsychiatry visits

Telepsychiatry is a form of telemedicine that allows you to conveniently access psychiatric care through an audio-video interface with network security protocols in place to protect patient confidentiality. Secure platforms used can include Google Meet, Zoom, and other applications over private WiFi and cellular networks. Public internet and WiFi are not confidential.

CANCELLATIONS, MISSED APPOINTMENTS & LATE POLICY

If you are late for an appointment, you will be accommodated for the remainder of the reserved appointment time. If you need to cancel/reschedule an appointment, please give 48 business hours advanced notice or else you will be charged in full. Business hours are considered weekdays from Monday through Friday and exclude all Federal holidays. Missed appointments will also be charged in full. Please note that insurance companies can only be billed for sessions that occur, and will not reimburse for these late cancellation and missed appointment charges. The best way to cancel/reschedule is by clicking the make appointment button, and entering your message 48 hours before appointment. Notice can also be provided by phone call or e-mail, and NOT text message. The office makes an effort to send appointment reminders to the e-mail or cell phone you provided on your intake form. If the appointment reminder is not received, the 48 hour cancellation policy still applies.

PRESCRIPTION RENEWAL REQUESTS

It is preferable that prescription renewal requests are made during the visit. If this is not possible and the renewal is being made via phone call or the website, please allow for 2-3 business days for fulfillment of such requests.

It is understood that each prescription request should clearly state- Full name, Date of birth, Name and dose of prescription, Pharmacy address/phone number

  • Since we pride ourselves on maintaining a small intimate clinical environment, this clinic is not equipped to manage psychiatric conditions that require urgent care or 24/7 treatment. A community mental health clinic or large health care system can serve those needs in a way this clinic cannot.

  • I do not conduct psychiatric evaluations for purposes other than mental health treatment, such as evaluations required for an employer or school, legal proceedings, disability benefits, or medical clearance.
